Why Bad Boys?

The other day Muffin told me about a conversation she had with a friend of hers, about why girls choose bad guys.. Even if/when we know that they are bad and awful... And it reminded me of all my thoughts on the topic...

...and then a friend of mine was in a predicament where I thought it appropriate to tell him the story about it... And this is what I told him:

Many guys often wonder why girls go for the bad guys.. The jerks.. The guys who don't deserve them... Well, having been there before- I'll tell you.  

After not knowing of anyone who has feelings for them.. After feeling so unwanted, a girl just wants to be loved... And if the guy acts nice, is fun to be around, and says the right things- the girl goes for him. Because all she wants is to be loved. All anyone wants on this Earth- truly- is to be loved.  

And then when the guy is done, when he doesn't care anymore- or when he just gets bored... He drops the girl... And then the girl remembers all the good memories and blocks out the bad ones... Seeing only the good and then the pain that followed.. 

So when a nice guy comes along- and sincerely feels love for this girl- she gets scared.. She keeps thinking that she'll get hurt. So it's hard for her to trust this new guy... 

And if she doesn't end up trusting this new guy, then EVENTUALLY, after pain, she'll trust someone.. And if she does trust this new guy- it makes her feel like the happiest girl alive.. 

And she feels so stupid for not realizing this sooner... But she falls in love and wishes it could have happened earlier... Which in truth would be lovely... 

But she wouldn't enjoy it as much or recognize what a wonderful guy she has if she hadn't felt pain in the past.

So yea.. There's my short little inspirational splurt for the day. ;)
